This fall 2010 fashion season is filled with trendy footwear for your personal style. Whether your wardrobe consists of floral prints and feminine accents or you have more of an edgy look with metal studs and black leather, shoes for this fall and winter will appeal to every mood and personality.
A trend that will be seen a lot this season that was popular last fall is booties. There are several styles of this ankle-length boots that will suit any personality. If you have more of an edgy look, look for combat boots or leather boots with straps and studs with little or no heel. For a more feminine style, look for a wedge bootie with cute accents. If you want a stylish boot that won’t leave your feet aching, try a faux suede boot with flat bottoms and no heel. These boots are a lot like a comfortable pair of flats.
One shoe that has been popular for all seasons and is not going anywhere is a cute pair of flats. You should have a pair of colorful flats for this fall. You can wear these shoes with almost any clothing style: skinny, boot cut or flared
jeans, a skirt and leggings or slacks. Flats with a bold animal or floral print would go well with this fall’s fashion. A pointy-toed flat adds a dressy spin to an outfit. The pointy-toed flat also elongates your legs, making you look taller.
There’s always one trend that is risky and hard to pull off. This fall, that trend is clogs when it comes to footwear. Love them or hate them, clogs are a prominent trend this fall. These ‘70s inspired shoes will go well with the flare-legged jeans and trousers that are popular this fall season.
A similar shoe style to flats is the menswear-inspired oxfords. These usually have the comfort level as a flat but have the lace-ups like a boot. These shoes work best with bare ankles and an outfit of cropped or rolled up jeans and a simple tee and/or a floral or summer dress. Oxfords also look cute paired with a blazer. Get these shoes in a tan or nude color to make your legs look longer. They also go well with skirts.
If heels are your thing you can give your feet a break this fall, because kitten heel pumps are in. Styles from the ‘50s and ‘60s are big this year, and these styles have inspired the kitten heels. These shoes can get a bad reputation for being “granny-esque,” but if you wear them right, they can be an outfit staple this fall. If you keep your outfit classic and chic, kitten heels are a good addition to your wardrobe.
This fall 2010 fashion season promises many different shoe styles that appeal to every personality. With styles ranging from edgy black leather boots to ladylike kitten heels, this fall and winter seasons have a variety of stylish footwear to choose from, whatever mood you’re in that day.
