On Tuesday, Nov. 16, Theatre Director Riley Coker sent out an email that announced the postponement of Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s production of “Steel Magnolias” due to most of the cast and crew members being ill.

The announcement stated the performances originally scheduled for Nov. 18, 19 and 20, will now be held on Jan. 20, 21 and 22, 2022. The shows will be held at 7 p.m. each night in the Visual Performing Arts Center.

Those who previously purchased tickets will be contacted by the theatre department. Ticket holders have three options: keep their reservations, donate the tickets to students or receive a full refund.

New tickets for new patrons will be available starting in January. They can be bought through the supplied online form, in person or through phone call.

The box office is open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (580) 745-2696 during operating hours.
