Many people in the campus community only see the finished product. Many of you walk by it everyday and don’t even give it a second glance. Do I have you wondering what it is? I’ll give you a clue: you’re holding it in your hand right now.
The Southeastern is the result of the efforts of many studentts and a hard working adviser. While the newspaper is a portfolio builder and practice for the journalism profession, it is also meant to inform our community at Southeastern.
We make an effort to write about issues that you might be interested in or need to know.
What we do goes beyond writing the articles. Come up to the Fine Arts Building, room 203, the last week of any month, and you will see a controlled chaos.
It is in this chaos that your humble newspaper staff work to design the pages in your hand.
So tell your friends on campus not to pass up The Southeastern. It’s a good resource for knowing what is going on around you.
If there is anything—and I mean anything—you would like to see in these pages, let me know. Stop me in the hallway, come to the newsroom or send me an email. If you send it by carrier pigeon, I will put whatever you want in the paper, complete with color photos!
So until next month, enjoy your paper.
