Christmas time is here and thank goodness because I do not think I could wait much longer. During the holidays people just seem to be much nicer, most likely because they know Santa is watching very closely.

Speaking of the jolly big guy, what do you plan on leaving for him Christmas Eve? Will it be the traditional cookies, fudge perhaps or maybe some healthy carrot cake?

Well I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas so I like to leave cookies out for Mr. Clause. I decorate the Friday after Thanksgiving. On Christmas Eve my family opens one present while drinking hot cocoa.

These traditions are not really about doing things a specific way, it is about making memories and being around those you love. Christmas time has always been a very family-oriented traditional, holiday for me. I love getting in the kitchen and making Christmas treats with my mom, or whomever really. Snowman Oreo Pops

Start to finish: 20 minutes

Oreo Cookies (Double-Stuffed Oreos work best to insert the cake pop stick)

Cake pop sticks

Vanilla quick-melt candy coating

Orange Tic-Tacs for nose (cut in half)

Black frosting for eyes and mouth

First insert the cake pop stick in the cream filling of the Oreo, pressing gently so the cookie doesn’t break.

Next melt the vanilla candy coating according to package instructions.  Drizzle a very light coating over the cake pop, coating all sides.  Do not dip the cookie; it will fall off the stick. Once you have coated your Oreo on a stick let it cool on wax paper. Before they have cooled completely place the Tic-Tac on the Oreo so it sticks.

Once the Oreo pops have cooled completely give the snowman eyes and a mouth.
