The SE cross country team looks promising as they came in at fourth in the Great American Conference in the preseason polls.
Coach Ron Hair noted that the team average is 1 minute and 26 seconds faster than it was at this time last year. He is excited to see what the season will bring.
Southeastern has competed in two meets so far. The first was at UT Tyler, where they finished third as a team. They also finished fifth as a team when they traveled to UT Arlington.
The team vibe is strong and the atmosphere positive as the seven girls get to know each other and begin working together.
“I think they’re going to be a pretty tight knit group by the end,” says Hair.
Hair is confident that this season will be successful.
“This year’s team seems to have a lot of determination and even a little bit of competition between the members of the team- which makes everybody even better,” said Hair.
