Savage Storm dropped the 2013 season finale and Senior Day to archrival East Central 23-16 on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Paul Laird Field.
Despite only scoring 16 points, Southeastern held a 391-to-253 edge in total yards, with 138 yards rushing and 253 through the air.
The SE offense broke five single-season school records, including the record for total offense with 4,895 yards. This surpassed the old mark of 4,780.
The offense set the yards-per-game record at 445.0, passing the 2004 mark of 434.5. SE also broke the record of 810 for total plays ran by running 947 in 2013.
The previous record of 468 for passing attempts was broken by attempting 511 passes in 2013.
They surpassed the 258 record of completions this year with 289.
Three SE players have earned All-Great American Conference honors following the 2013 season.
Freshman of the Year, was awarded to running back Devlon Wortham.
Wortham, a freshman criminal justice major, is the first player in SE history to earn a specialty award in the GAC.
Jared Heim, a junior undecided major, and Wortham both received first team honors. Heim earned the second highest punting average in school history with an overage of 41.9..
Anthony Foster, a junior health, physical education and recreation major, received second team honors and finished fourth in the conference in receiving yards per game with 94.2 yard per game, which is third all-time in the GAC and Southeastern record books.
