Cecilia Miller, a freshman undecided major and dance minor, said, “It’s growing on me. I like it. At first I thought that we were going to be the bisons.”

Sally Pickens, a senior music and English double major, said, “I’m kinda glad we finally have a mascot. I was sort of hoping it would be Thor.”

Morgan Hartwell, a sophomore aviation major, said, “I think it’s cool they tried to change it. I think it’s cartoonish. I think they should change the whole name to bison or buffalo instead of Savage Storm.”

Tyler Sweatt, a senior business major, said, “I like the bison. I don’t like that we are still the Savage Storm but the mascot is a bison. I don’t understand it. A lot of people don’t understand it. Maybe we could add or incorporate bison to the name. “

Nick Brayer, a senior psychology and business minor, said, “I like it. It does represent us pretty well. We have had our mascot revoked twice and we’re finally getting it back. Were pretty resilient. The mascot and saying fit us well.”
