The Student Government Association is holding an emergency election on Aug 29. The election will be posted on Blackboard.
SGA currently only has five senator positions filled. According to Nick Mcbrayer, a senior psychology major and SGA Vice President, SGA is looking for a diverse group of students to help make a difference in the Southeastern community.
Packets are available at the student senate office on the third floor of the student union room 316. Packets are due by Wednesday Aug. 28.Candidates must have at least a 2.5 G.P.A. to qualify.
The responsibilities of a senator include attended a meeting each Thursday at 6p.m., work two scheduled office hours a week, attend committee meetings and participate in all events sponsored by SGA.
According to Mcbrayer, SGA is a hard job but also a rewarding one. Mcbrayer said, “If you want to make a difference at Southeastern this is where you want to be.”
