The True Blue Ambassadors have just acquired nine new members, who are still in training.
This group of students helps with campus tours and special events. The students are required to maintain a positive image for SE and to attend biweekly meetings.
All students interested had to go though an application and interview process. Faculty and staff members selected the students.
The students are Ashley Bowen, Sara Hodson, Emalea Hudgens, Michael Noah, Dustin Williams, Maddison Williams, Ben Wright, Travis Valtman and Kelcey Yanez.
Hudgens, a freshman music major, said, “I’m so honored to be a True Blue Ambassador. It is such a opportunity to speak to potential new students and get them to love Southeastern as much as I do.”
Hudgens is from a small northeastern Oklahoma town where no one has ever heard of SE. She said she wants to make SE known everywhere.
Williams, a freshman politicial science major, said, “It’s a great opportunity to recruit new people to this amazing university and family. I am proud to be true blue. It also gives you the chance to represent the university and give back to a school that gives to you.”
The students are busy throughout the year helping with different departments who need help recruiting new students who will hopefully want to attend SE.
