From Staff Reports
According to James Dalton of Bryan County Emergency Management, there will be traffic disturbances in Durant for the next few months.
Dalton said traffic on U.S. Highway 69/75 southbound in Durant will be affected by construction beginning Jan. 28.
Construction will be performed on an exit ramp at University Boulevard, said Dalton.
Westside Drive between Washington Street and University Street will also be affected by this project, according to Dalton.
Drivers on U.S. Highway 69-75 southbound will encounter reduced speeds, some outside lane blockages and delays, according to Dalton.
Drivers on Westside Drive will encounter reduced speeds, traffic back up and possible temporary detours, said Dalton.
Local drivers should find alternate routes until the construction is complete, which should be about 140 days, said Dalton.
