The Office of Student Life hosted its annual Merchant/Student Organization Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The event was held on the loop behind the Morrison Building at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

The fair served as an opportunity for student organizations and local businesses to introduce themselves to the campus community.

Student and campus organizations had several reasons to participate in the fair.

The Chorvettes distributed information about performance dates and audition opportunities.

Alumni Legacy Leaders gave students meeting times and contact resources.

Housing and Residence Life informed students about job opportunities, including desk clerk, resident community leader and residential facilities assistant positions.

The Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity, an exclusive, invite-only service organization, participated in order to reach out to Durant businesses who also attended the fair.

Many of these groups gave away T-shirts, snacks, colorful signs and cheerful smiles.

In addition to the fair, a COVID-19 vaccination event was held simultaneously making Aug. 25 a busy day on campus.
