Durant Main Street hosted their November First Friday event, Friendsgiving, on Nov. 6 in Downtown Durant.

First Friday is a monthly event organized by Durant Main Street, a non-profit organization that specializes in the revitalization of historic Downtown Durant.

On the first Friday of every month, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., several local businesses stay open later than usual and offer special deals. Activities suitable for all ages are hosted in several businesses and live music fills the streets.

There are usually prizes to be won for participation, and lots of opportunities to get to know our local business owners.

First Friday is a great way to explore Downtown Durant and all it has to offer. It is constantly growing and changing to fit the needs of the community. It is also an engaging event that prioritizes supporting local businesses.
