Due to recent events on campus and within the city of Durant we feel it prudent to remind the campus community to always lock your vehicle. Unfortunately our city is no stranger to thefts from unlocked vehicles, But there has been a sharp rise in instances of perpetrators breaking windows to gain entry when valuables are visible in the vehicle. One such case resulted in the theft of only a basketball. Please stay vigilant in locking your vehicles and hiding or removing any items of value. Many suspects have been taken into custody, but this does not remedy the headache, inconvenience, and unexpected expense to you, the victim. As always, please report these crimes and all suspicious activity to the Police.
