Southeastern’s campus will be the stage of a “Comminity Diversity Forum” on Thursday, Sept. 17.
The event is to be held in the Hallie McKinney Ballroom on our own campus. The forum is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
This forum is open to the public and registration will be at 5 p.m. SE is sponsoring this event, along with the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center, Imagine Durant, and the Boys & Girls Club of Durant.
There are four notable panelists that are scheduled to serve at the forum. They are as follows: Crystal Robinson, who is a former SE basketball player and currently coaches basketball at Atoka High School, Emily Redman, District Attorney for Bryan, Atoka, and Coal counties, Ralph Evans, he serves at the bailiff for the 401st District Court, Collin County, and Alex Benito, pastor for First Hispanic Baptist Church in Durant.
Southeastern President Sean Burrage will be mediator for the forum.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the public forum and voice their opinion on the growing diversity in our fair town of Durant.
