Thursday, Aug. 23, the 2012 football team gave fans a taste of what to expect for the upcoming season.
The intra-squad scrimmage showcased the offense in white uniforms and the defense in blue. The quarterbacks were in yellow.

The scrimmage was action-packed and hard-hitting. It came at the end of the Welcome Week festivities and im-mediately followed the ribbon cutting.
The Storm’s first game will be Sept. 1, at Texas A&M University-Commerce, with kickoff at 6 p.m.
The first home game will be Sept. 15, against Southern Arkansas starting at 6 p.m. Three hours before kickoff, the streets by Paul Laird Field will be blocked off for the tailgate party.

During the Aug. 23 scrimmage on the Paul Laird Field, the defense, blue, was hard-hitting and never let up on the offense, white.
