The Student Wellness Center is hosting a CPR/AED Training event on campus today, March 2. Students, faculty and staff are all invited to attend the training at 5:15 p.m. Registration may be completed by calling the Student Wellness Center office at (580) 745-2988 or by visiting room 229 in the student union.

The training session will last about 75 minutes and will cover basics of CPR/AED skills. Participants will receive instruction through videos and receive hands-on training with mannequins.

No official certification will be provided at this event, but April Lehrling, Director of Student Wellness, encourages those interested to attend. “The more people that are comfortable with the basics of CPR/AED use, the safer our society can be,” said Lehrling. “Who wouldn’t want to have the tools to save a life?”
