Look no further than Southeastern Oklahoma State University for your Valentine’s Day plans.

The Office of Student will host a Valentine’s Day event on Monday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union atrium.

Last year, Student Life handed out Valentine’s Day goody bags throughout the day. However, Mitchell Emberson, the Director of Student Life, explained there will be several other events this year. “[Students will be able to add to] the chain of love,” Emberson said. “It is a long chain of paper that we can add to, and it keeps growing. It will be displayed downstairs in the atrium. The office of Student Life will start it, and we will see how long we get it.”

Other activities that will be offered include the opportunity to make Valentine’s Day cards and writing on the Self Love Wall. The Self Love Wall will serve as a display of “I am” statements written by students, where they are free to write positive things about themselves and others.
