Southeastern to add third commencement ceremony this spring

Southeastern is growing and the university announced a third commencement ceremony. Don’t forget to attend the campus bookstore’s graduation event on April 2 to get your cap and gown.

DURANT, Okla. – The recent growth in the number of graduates has caused officials at Southeastern Oklahoma State University to add a third commencement ceremony this spring.

Traditionally, the University has held two spring commencement ceremonies on the same day.

“This decision is necessitated by the increased number of graduates, as well as our desire to accommodate all of the families and friends wanting to attend the event to honor their family member,’’ said Southeastern interim president Bryon Clark.  “We want everyone to have the opportunity to be a part of this special day.’’

The schedule for Saturday, May 9, will be three ceremonies in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena, as follows:

 

9:00 a.m. School of Arts & Sciences

Bachelor Degrees

Master of Technology

Master of Music Education

Master of Science (Native American Leadership)

 

12 p.m. School of Education & Behavioral Sciences

Bachelor Degrees

Master of Arts (Clinical Mental Health Counseling)

Master of Early Intervention and Child Development

Master of Education

Master of Science (Sports Studies and Athletic Administration)

 

3:00 p.m. John Massey School of Business

Bachelor Degrees

Master of Business Administration

Master of Science (Aerospace Administration and Logistics)

Master of Science (Safety)
