Comedian Ant comes to SE
September 5, 2017
Wednesday August 23, Southeastern received a visit from award-winning comedian/actor Ant, who has starred on the Tonight Show, starred in his own TV show called “U.S. of ANT” which premiered in 2006, and will soon be making another appearance on the Tonight Show. The show took place in the Fine Arts recital hall at 7:00 p.m.
During his act, comedian Ant told a story about his childhood, struggles in life, and his success, all while keeping the audience laughing. Ant’s style of comedy had a way of making the crowd feel sad and happy all at once. He had a unique way of telling the hard parts of his life a story in a way that the audience could find comical. Although, at some points, he had to remind the audience that it was okay to laugh at his life.
Southeastern student Ashley Teafatiller reviewed the show as “a story that could inspire other students who may have been through his same struggles.”
Ant later told the audience that this was his first trip to Southeastern Oklahoma and that the SOSU audience was one of his favorite crowds in a while.
