The Residents Staff, hosted Escape the Night an interactive event held in Hallie McKinney at 7:00p.m. on Oct. 12. Escape the night consisted of teams of four to five.
The theme was Time Tour. Participants entered a series of escape rooms. Participants answered questions to find missing pieces of a puzzle.
In the 80s escape room, participants dug their hand in spaghetti, popped balloons and played spin the bottle for questions to escape. Once participants answered the questions correctly they attempted to find the object that did not belong in the decade.

articipants attempted to solve riddles and find the perfect hand to escape the tour.
Freshman, Kimberly Carlos said, “It was super fun I and was happy to get involved.”
In order to escape each room, participants were given different types of clues and different ways to find them. From cypher keys, popping balloons, getting a little dirty and having the perfect hand.
Bri Wilson, sophomore, biology/chemistry major,” it was awesome, kind of cheesy but it was definitely a lot fun and having someone jump out at the beginning made the rest really suspenseful.”
The Residents Staff, found groups for everyone and made sure the event ran smoothly. They also had positive attitudes at the sign up station and were genuinely excited to see all of the southeastern students coming out and getting involved.
The tour guides kept participants on track and were convincing when playing their roles in each decade.
Chelsea Hamner, junior, education major said, “I thought it was a lot of fun. It made us work as a team to find the next clues. It wasn’t really scary at all but it was very interactive and I liked that.”
