Cafeteria food: variety vs. cost
September 8, 2016
For most students here, especially for freshmen, the cafeteria is a part of life. However, there are not many different types of food for students to choose from. For example, when a student goes to the cafeteria for breakfast, they could find an omelette with ham, spinach, cheese, and eggs. No matter what they eat, they will pay $5.49. However, if the student goes to McDonalds to buy breakfast, he could get a Egg White Delight McMuffin meal for just $3.99. Also, he can choose different breakfast to eat everyday. However, the breakfast menu in café never changes.
If you compare the price of lunch between the cafeteria and IHOP, you will find that eating in cafeteria will be less expensive. If you go to IH
OP, you will pay eight dollars for an omelette before taxes. However, if you choose eat in the cafeteria, you will pay $6.59. In the café, you will find different types of food like soup, fried rice, salad, sandwiches, french fries, burgers and so on. Although, there are many different types of food, I think the cafeteria should ask students what they want to eat in the café and make some changes.
If you go to café, you will see ”Sodexo” in many different places. Sodexo touches the lives of 75 million consumers in 80 countries every day. In North America alone, they serve more than 15 million consumers at 9,000 client sites. “Wherever we work, our dedication to making every day a better day for people and organizations comes from one goal — to positively improve quality of life.”
