New freshmen join the SE family
August 30, 2016
If returning students walk across campus, they will find many new faces that they have not seen before. The new semester begins and more freshmen become students at Southeastern.
Catie Beall from Bells, Texas is a freshman this year. She is a mathematics education major at Southeastern. This semester is really different for her because she is a college student and no longer a high school student. She felt that she has opened a new chapter of her life. The most different thing for her is that she has to do everything on her own. She also has to work harder and study harder. As a new freshman, she is involved with Project Teach. Her favorite class so far is art. She hopes that she can graduate from Southeastern with a master degree. Everything is totally new for Beall: new classes, a new roommate, new friends and of course, a new place. She hopes she can enjoy every day here.
Chandler Kemp is also one of the freshmen this year at Southeastern. She is a biology major from Gainesville, Texas. She feels a little excited and a bit nervous about her new college life. As a college student, she will have more free time. As a result, she can do many things that she likes and she can do things on her own. She can manage her time independently after classes. She feels more freedom here. Not only is she a student, she is also a basketball player for Southeastern. Kemp’s older sister is a junior here. Kemp is really enjoying her college life.
