The televised games against No. 7 Henderson State ended with the fall of Southeastern 60-17 in Arkadelphia, Ark.
This loss left the Storm with a 1-2 Great American Conference record going into their next conference competition against Ouachita Baptist, Sept. 27 at Paul Laird Field.
CBS Sports Network nationally televised the game against Henderson State. Southeastern also televised a commercial, which reached a national audience.
The commercial was filmed all across the Southeastern campus, which featured President Sean Burrage with SE students, alumni, faculty and staff.
Also making a very special guest appearance is 1976 Southeastern graduate Reba McEntire.
The theme of the commercial was “Seize Your Opportunity,” showing students and athletes making the most out of their college experience whether it is the classroom or on the field.
This was the first Southeastern football game to ever be aired on national television, which was a rare opportunity to showcase Southeastern athletics.
