The Southeastern golf team started their 2014 season with a third place finish in their first tournament.
With the help of Zach James, the Storm was able to move up a spot on the last day of competition at the Great American Conference Preview in Oklahoma City, Okla. at Lake Hefner Golf Course. James shot a 72 and two 69s to put himself tied for second individually.
They shot an event total of 859 with the last day total at 291.
Southeastern recently competed in the NSU Men’s Classic, Sept. 22-23, where they finished eighth overall.
Mason Horner shot the team’s best total score with 224 after his final round of 78. Horner tied for seventeenth individually.
Marcos Sevilla shot a 75 for the Storm’s best round. Sevilla finished one shot behind Horner in a tie for twenty-third. He combined a total score of 225.Southeastern will be competing in the Texoma Championship at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort in Kingston, Okla., Sept 29-30.
The Storm will then be traveling to Palm Beach Garden, Fla. for the Guy Harvey Invitational, October 6-7.
