Southeastern Oklahoma State University has two vaccination events planned for the upcoming weeks.

On Wednesday, Feb. 16, the Student Wellness Center will administer flu vaccines to students, faculty, and staff, free of charge. April Lerhling, Director of Student Wellness Services, encourages others to remember to be vaccinated against the flu. “In the midst of COVID-19, we forget it is still important to get your flu vaccine,” said Lehrling. “It’s still just as important as it is today to get the flu vaccine than it has been every year. Take advantage of this opportunity!” The shots will be offered all day at the Student Union from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Feb. 23, the Oklahoma State Department of Health Department will be administering doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Doses of the Janssen, Pfizer, and Moderna will be offered. The event will be held in front of the Student Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The flu vaccine will also be available. This event is open to the public. Those interested in receiving either vaccine will need to bring photo identification. Individuals receiving a booster shot will need to bring their vaccination card.
