SE Live Transfer Enrollment Day, organized by University Recruitment, brought close to 50 transfer students to Southeastern’s campus on March 29. All of the students have been admitted and plan to transfer in to SE in fall 2011.
“SE Live Transfer Day is different than our SE Live for prospective freshman students,” said Elizabeth Stidham, recruitment coordinator. “The students that come to Transfer Day have already chosen to finish their education at Southeastern.”
The students who attended Transfer Day were able to choose which events they wanted to attend and customize their SE visit. They had the opportunity to tour the campus, meet with an instructor from their majors, learn about Campus Connect, sign up for a residence hall room, attend an SE class and eat lunch in the Student Union Café.
“Transfer Day is a great day for our transfer students to visit campus and make preparations for the next semester,” said Marcus High, recruiter. He added that “the students get to experience life as if they were a Southeastern student.”
