The Southeastern Oklahoma State University men’s basketball team played against Ouachita Baptist at Bartlesville on March 8.
The men’s team lost to Ouachita Baptist 67-60.
This left the Southeastern Oklahoma State University men’s basketball team with number four for the season in the Great American Conference.
There were 21 two-point shots made by Southeastern of 55 attempts.
The statistics said there were six three-point shots made of 21 attempts and 19 free throw shots made of 19 attempts.
Green said this game was “pretty much the same as the last game, it’s pretty funny.”
The team really defended well and executed offensively but did not make shots, according to Green
Green said, “Repetition is the best form of getting better at something.”
Green said Andris Misters had the best shooting game against Ouachita Baptist making 20 total points during the game four of which were free throw shots.
Closely behind Misters in point count was Steven Kohli with 19 points and Mateus Oliveira with 11 points.
The Southeastern Oklahoma State University women’s basketball team played against Harding at Bartlesville on March 7.
The women’s team lost to Harding 63-77.
This left the Southeastern Oklahoma State University women’s basketball team with number six for the season in the Great American Conference.
There were 23 two-point shots made by Southeastern of 64 attempts.
The statistics said there were six three-point shots made of 16 attempts and 11 free throw shots made of 14 attempts.
The head coach of the Southeastern women’s basketball team Darin Grover said overall the team competed hard during the game. Grover said, “We just did not shoot the ball very well.”
Grover said their strongest point overall was good defensive play throughout the game.
Their weakest point was not finishing shots around the basket and poor rebounding, according to Grover.
Grover said Natalie Ruud and Bailey Welch both played well. Bailey Welch had the most points scored in the last game against Harding with a total of 14 points.
The Southeastern Oklahoma State University men’s and women’s basketball teams played against Harding at Searcy, Ark. on March 2.
The men’s team lost to Harding 85-58 and the women’s team lost to Harding 69-83.
There were 20 two-point shots made by The Southeastern men’s team of 57 attempts.
The statistics said there were two three-point shots made of 17 attempts and 16 free throw shots made of 23 attempts.
The head coach of the Southeastern men’s basketball team Kelly Green said overall the game was not great. The team played hard, but didn’t make baskets, according to Green.
Green said their strongest point in the game was that of playing hard and giving good effort.
In order to improve, Green said the team needed to be more patient on offense and take better shots.
Green said Andris Misters had the best shooting game against Harding, making 20 total points during the game, five of which were free throw shots.
In the women’s game there were 20 two-point shots made by Southeastern of 56 attempts.
The statistics said there were 10 three-point shots made of 23 attempts and 19 free throw shots made of 24 attempts.
Cheree Kiser achieved the most total points in the game with 15 shots made followed closely by Bailey Welch and Natalie Ruud with 14 points.
