The Southeastern athletic department hosted summer basketball camps for students in grades 2 through twelve. The staff of these basketball camps are Kelly Green, the head men’s coach, Chris McGill, the Assistant Men’s Coach, and Darin Grover, the head women’s coach.
Coach Grover said that these basketball camps are helpful with recruitment because they bring in young students and their families to the SE campus.
Grover has been working with the camps for the past eight years and says that he enjoys working with every age group. According to Grover, the most important lesson that students at these camps learn is, “if you want to become good at anything, you have to practice it.”
Camp for grades 2-6 were held June 10-13 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and June 17-20 from 1-5 p.m. and cost $80 per student.
Camp for grades 6-9 were held June 10-13 from 1-5 p.m. and cost $80 per student.
Camp for grades 9-12 will be held June 24-26 from 1-4 p.m. and costs $75 per student. For more information you may visit www.sebasketballcamps.com.
