Three sessions of Camp SE new student orientation scheduled

DURANT, Okla. –  All new first-time freshmen/transfers attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University are required to attend either Camp SE or Camp SE Online. Parents may also attend the orientation event.

Camp SE dates (overnight) are June 25-26, July 9-10 and July 16-17. Camp SE Online is geared for incoming non-traditional students and transfer students and will not be offered until after fall classes begin on August 21.

Camp SE prices are $85 per student and Camp SE Online is priced at $50.

The purpose of the orientation is to assist new students with their transition to campus by providing programs and services that outline the University’s academic requirements as well as co-curricular opportunities.

New students and their families are provided an understanding of University expectations and requirements. Participation in orientation is a pivotal step in connecting students to the campus community and the opportunity for academic success.

Camp SE students will receive an overnight stay in Shearer Residence Hall & Suites.

Parents and family may expect a casual, conversational environment to learn about the University’s expectations of their students; meet with campus administrators, faculty and current Southeastern students; have time to visit campus offices to help prepare their students for classes to begin; and continental breakfast and lunch in the University café.
