DURANT, Okla. – Two commencement ceremonies were held Saturday at Bloomer Sullivan Arena on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Southeastern’s  graduating class this spring included students from 25 states and 13 countries. In addition, 53% of the graduates were first-generation college graduates.

Students were awarded degrees from the School of Arts and Sciences, John Massey School of Business, School of Education and Behavioral Sciences, and the School of Graduate Studies.

Marti Phillips of Durant, a Southeastern graduate, delivered the commencement address. Offering welcoming remarks were Southeastern president Sean Burrage, Chairman John Massey of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and Regent Amy Ford from the Regional University System of Oklahoma Board of Regents. Alumni Association president Will Payne delivered the alumni charge.

Marti Phillips was Saturday’s commencement speaker.
