The most popular costumes are those inspired by the past year’s most memorable moments. 2016 has brought many opportunities for a costume extravaganza. Halloween is sure to consist of Pokemon, Harley Quinn, Presidential Candidates and a clown or two.

A costume idea that never grows old is transforming yourself into a character from your favorite movie. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is popular among all ages during both Halloween and Christmas.

This year’s most popular Halloween costume is bound to be Harley Quinn. This year the movie “Suicide Squad” was released and fans cannot stop raving about Harley Quinn’s signature make up and outfit.

A phenomenon that has hit in the U.S. recently is the clowns that are popping up. Clowns have been walking around and terrorizing people ever since the first incident in South Carolina. There are sure to be those who will dress up as clowns just to strike fear in the hearts of innocent trick or treaters.

While it is fun to dress up on Halloween as adults, let’s not forget the years our parents spent picking out baby costumes. Halloween has always been about the kids… and candy.

Disney themed costumes have been popular for a very long time and seem to never go out of style. Peter Pan has been a popular costume among mother’s who want to dress up their babies for Halloween. Mother’s want their kids to stay little forever and that is what Peter Pan represents.

Cowboy costumes are a forever standing trend in the south. Sometimes a cowboy costume can even double as Woody from “Toy Story”. Who doesn’t love seeing a little boy run around in a hat too big for his head?
